Allergen Information

Please read this information carefully before booking a class, placing an order or consuming any of our products.

Important Notice

At Gillespies Couture Cakes, customer safety is very important to us. However, we currently do not cater for customers with allergies, severe intolerances or coeliac disease. Our kitchen and classes handle a range of allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any product or class environment is free from cross-contamination.

Allergens We Use

Our cakes, cupcakes, bakes, fillings, toppings and decorating classes may contain, or come into contact with:

  • Eggs
  • Milk / Dairy
  • Wheat / Gluten
  • Nuts, including peanuts and tree nuts
  • Soya
  • Sesame
  • Sulphites

Cross-Contamination

All products are prepared in the same kitchen environment, and shared equipment, tools and workspaces may be used.

Although we maintain good hygiene standards, traces of allergens may be present on surfaces, equipment, packaging or within the class environment.

Cake Decorating Classes

Our cake decorating classes involve the use of ingredients such as sponge, buttercream, icing, decorations, fillings and toppings. These may contain allergens including eggs, dairy, gluten, nuts and soya.

Ingredients are handled openly during classes and participants may use shared equipment and workspaces. For this reason, we are currently unable to provide allergy-safe alternatives.

If you or your child has an allergy, severe intolerance or coeliac disease, we strongly advise that you do not consume our products or take part in our classes at this time.
